Solidarity with refugees and those in need is not limited to material and in-kind assistance. A simple smile can connect hearts and allow them to feel sympathy and support from the community. Ask a refugee or a person in need about the skills they would like to learn and through which they can find employment and self-sufficiency. Teach them these skills or find someone who can.
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Allah, His angels, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, even the ant in its hole and the fish invoke blessings on him who teaches men what is good.”
