5 things I learned about refugees while working with UNHCR

Every morning, I sit on my desk drinking my coffee and checking the latest emails, news updates, and most important messages and requests we have received overnight.

Its part of my administrative job to answer messages and comments we receive online from the MENA region.

And yes, it’s not exactly a lifesaving job I have when compared to my protection colleagues who are on the ground, yet my experience working with UNHCR has given me what I can describe with full confidence: life-changing.
