They have faced years of war, conflict and persecution.

After being forced to flee, thousands of families from Afghanistan and Syria now return to their homelands with almost nothing to call their own or protect them from the harsh conditions they must now face.

In Jordan and Lebanon, the elderly, struggling parents, and vulnerable young children must once again, spend winter far from home. They need urgent support to stay warm, and repair and weatherproof their shelters to protect them from the worst of the winter months.

As we have always done, UNHCR is on the ground providing urgent relief and support to as many people as possible. But in light of grave funding cuts that heavily impact the work we do; we cannot do it alone.
