Thousands of women, children and men lost their homes and need urgent help.
Heavy rains have caused flash floods and rivers to burst their banks in Sudan, leaving thousands of people, including refugee and internally displaced families, in desperate need of humanitarian support.
Over 100 people have tragically died, including an 18-month-old baby. The floods have had a devastating impact on as many as 800,000 people (125,000 among them are refugees and internally displaced people).
Thousands of families urgently need shelter as many homes and community buildings have been badly damaged or destroyed. Hygiene levels have plummeted due to flooded latrines and contaminated water supplies, and some health facilities have been affected, which threatens their ability to treat patients and respond to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Your help today is vital to our relief efforts to ensure safe shelter and emergency aid to those affected.
