COVID-19 Emergency Appeal
COVID-19 does not discriminate. Refugees are at the same risk of contracting and transmitting the virus as local populations. However, over 80% of the global refugee population and nearly all of world’s internally displaced people are hosted in low to middle-income countries, which have weaker health and water and sanitation systems.
UNHCR is on the ground ensuring health and safety for refugees. We are working closely with national partners so that refugees are included in vaccination roll outs. But we need your support to do more today. You can help rush critical supplies like medicine, clean water, hygiene supplies and emergency cash assistance to vulnerable children and families.
With millions of refugees, internally displaced people now falling into conditions of extreme hardship and facing disastrous socio-economic and protection impacts induced by the pandemic, UNHCR has increased capacity to offer vital support to those most vulnerable and ensure their basic needs such as shelter, food, water and medicine.
We can’t do this alone, please donate TODAY.
