Kuwait Society for Relief – A Charity organization that has been working for 25 years to relief the areas affected by conflict or natural disasters within the middle east, north Africa and many countries around the world under the name of (The Kuwaiti Joint Relief Committee also known as Kuwait Society for Relief), which includes 16 Kuwaiti organizations, charities and public sector entities. The society’s vision and mission is being a global humanitarian charity that helps in alleviating the pain of those affected by disasters and coordinates with Kuwaiti ministries, embassies, bodies, associations and committees in the field of charitable relief work in the event of disasters, leading to the unify relief efforts and assistance.
The Kuwait Society for Relief has signed a grant agreement with UNHCR dedicated 1,000,000 USD towards cash assistance for refugees and internally displaced person in Yemen to cover their basic needs along with 333,000 USD cash assistance towards refugees and internally displaced person in Iraq also covering their basic needs. The beneficiaries in Yemen will add up to 4,472 families & the beneficiaries in Iraq will add up to 763 families.
