Our Partners in Kuwait

UNHCR is proud to partner with local entities in Kuwait. Our partnerships range from governments to non-governmental organizations, the private sector, civil society and refugee communities. Since 2016, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Kuwait has been expanding and strengthening its relationships with several prominent private sector institutions as well as starting new partnerships with various sectors in the country. The office was able to achieve this through numerous joint advocacy campaigns, grant-raising, cause-related marketing, project funding proposals, and joint events. These are the strategies to ensure regular communication to provide briefings on various humanitarian situations with high needs, in addition to field missions, funding opportunities and the organization of joint conferences and discussions with the participation of entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs. And finally, establishing new partnerships and innovative mechanisms for ideas generated towards charitable work, with the participation of private sector leaders, with the call to lift the burden of the refugees’ conditions and needs.
