In urban areas, many refugee and internally displaced families and families in need share accommodations, or live in unused public buildings, community centers, slums, or informal settlements, and conditions of the shelter are often substandard. Look at them with mercy and summon humanity within you. Consult with your neighbors and your family about the ways that you can help them, even if it is just by providing a heater or fuel to protect them from the bitter cold of winter.
