Heavy rainstorms and flooding in Eastern and Central Afghanistan have taken 37 lives and destroyed critical infrastructure. Thousands of Afghan families have been left homeless, with no shelter, belongings, or means to support themselves. The situation is dire, and these families urgently need access to shelter, medical care, and basic necessities.
UNHCR teams are on the ground working along-side partner agencies to provide affected families with essential aid like tents, blankets, and medical support. But we need your help to reach everyone in need.
Afghanistan remains one of the most complex humanitarian situations in the world. Severe economic hardships combined with the effects of over 40 years of conflict, have resulted in millions displaced and in desperate need of support.
Please give what you can to provide urgent, lifesaving relief.
