Along with their families, refugee youth have battled the odds, fleeing their homes in search of safety and new beginnings. Many lost all hope of ever getting to study again.
But with your support, the UNHCR ‘Aiming Higher’ programme can help change that.
Aiming Higher is built on UNHCR’s Refugee Scholarship Program (DAFI), the longest-running and largest higher education refugee scholarship programme. Over the last 28 years, DAFI has supported more than 18,500 young refugees, helping them pursue undergraduate degrees across the world.
Just USD 3,408 can fund an entire year of university for one refugee student – covering tuition, housing, food, transport, books, and more.
Why Your Support Matters
- Only 9% of refugee youth currently have access to higher education.
Together with you, UNHCR aims to raise this to 15% by 2030. - DAFI scholars don’t just earn degrees – they bring potential to life. From doctors and engineers to leaders and changemakers, they are the future of stronger communities.
This crisis is real. It’s urgent. It’s growing.
Your generosity can have a transformative impact on young minds.
