Since the ceasefire, thousands have began the long journey home.
As the devastating aftermath of the past few months comes to light, the future is uncertain for many, with homes and lives in desperate need of rebuilding, and humanitarian support.
Our work will continue to provide urgent relief to displaced families in dire need.
As soon as the ceasefire came into effect, refugees and displaced families across the country started to return to their villages. Our response was immediate with the delivery of emergency supplies to 3,100 people in Baalbek, consisting of essential items like blankets, mattresses, winter jackets, plastic sheets, solar lamps, sleeping mats and more.
UNHCR will continue to work closely with local authorities and partners to provide vital assistance to those affected. Your donation today can help bring them warmth and safety as the winter cold sets in.
