Refugees in South Sudan are facing extreme hunger as funds run out. Your donation can help the most vulnerable.

More than 650,000 refugees and asylum-seekers in South Sudan are at risk of losing further lifesaving food, nutrition and other assistance because of critical funding shortfalls. For 240,000 of the most vulnerable, that support will stop by the end of September if additional funding does not arrive.

The consequences would be immediate and long-lasting, including heightened risks of malnutrition, and exploitation and abuse of women and children.

This is happening amid one of the world’s deepest hunger crises, as more than 7.8 million people in South Sudan face acute food insecurity. At the same time, up to 3,000 refugees and returnees arrive from Sudan every week, most with almost nothing. More than 1.4 million have crossed since the war in Sudan began.

The timing could not be worse: the rainy season pushes prices up, degrades roads and makes humanitarian access to the people hardest to reach even more difficult.

We urgently need funding to keep lifesaving assistance going. Please donate now.
