• 4.2 million Sudanese sought refuge in neighboring countries (like Egypt and Chad).
• Millions are at risk of famine in several areas including Darfur.
• 30 million Sudanese (including 15 million children) need humanitarian assistance.
• Most Sudanese refugees are women and children in need.

Funding shortfalls are further compounding the crisis. UNHCR’s 2025 Humanitarian Response Plan for Sudan remains critically underfunded by 65%. While our teams work tirelessly to help countless families, we call for your urgent and immediate support.
