A staggering 11.4 million people have been forcibly displaced in Sudan.
The war and ongoing violence has left countless families in need of urgent and immediate aid in the form of water, food, shelter, healthcare and essential relief.
Nearly half of the country’s population (25 million people) are in need of humanitarian assistance and protection services, with millions more one step away from potential famine. Most humanitarian indicators are now above and beyond emergency levels.
90% of Sudanese refugees are women and children in need.
UNHCR teams in Sudan and neighboring countries (Egypt, Chad, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Central African Republic), are working tirelessly to provide core relief items and life-saving support, along with cash assistance for the most vulnerable families to afford essentials like shelter, food and medicine.
With multiple emergencies and growing humanitarian needs around the world, our Sudan relief needs remain severely underfunded, heavily disrupting our capacity to respond.
We ask for your support to scale up our response for the safety of those forced to flee.
Every donation makes a difference to the lives of those in need.
