Three years later, Sudan needs our support more than ever.
1 in every 4 Sudanese are forcibly displaced.
As the conflict enters its fourth year, Sudan’s humanitarian needs remain urgent and alarming. With nearly 14 million people displaced both within and outside the country, this is the largest displacement crises in the world today.
Key points:
- Basic Needs: Millions still have severely limited access to basic lifesaving services such as water and medical care
- Food Insecurity: More than half the population is acutely food insecure, with famine already confirmed in multiple areas.
- Unaccompanied Children: Approx. 58,000 Sudanese refugee children were identified in neighbouring countries, many of whom arrived injured, or exposed to violence and psychosocial distress.
- Women & Children: Many have endured abuse, exploitation and other forms of violence as they continue to bear the brunt of the war.
Our teams remain on ground, constantly working to deliver protection and life-saving support, along with cash assistance to the most vulnerable families to help them afford the essentials they need to survive like shelter, clean water, food and healthcare.
But without adequate funding and support, our efforts will not be enough.
