The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) was established in 2015. MBRGI embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to create a comprehensive humanitarian aid and social framework with a strong emphasis on hope.
MBRGI’s partnership with the UNHCR started in 2021 where it has contributed USD 2.6 million towards supporting food assistance programs in Nigeria and India. Additionally, MBRGI has contributed USD 5.5 million to support cash assistance programs in Lebanon, Iraq, and Jordan, and in India and Malaysia to help ease the harshness of winter for Syrian and Rohingya refugees respectively.
